Welcome back! We hope you had a wonderful and restful summer with your loved ones. As we approach the start of a new school year, we are excited to share some fantastic updates and information with you.
Wonderful upgrades have taken place in our school building to enhance the learning experience for our students. We have made improvements to our floors, introduced flexible seating options, and upgraded our lighting to create a more conducive environment for learning and growth. We are confident that these enhancements will further enrich your child's educational journey.
School is set to begin on Monday, August 21, 2023, at 8:20 am, and will conclude at 11:30 am on the first day. We can't wait to welcome our scholars back for what promises to be a fantastic school year filled with exciting learning opportunities and enriching experiences. Our theme for this school year is "Building Bright Minds: Unleashing Student Potential with Words, Numbers, and Imagination!" We are committed to nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and a passion for learning among our students.
With your support and partnership, we aim to achieve our ultimate goal of having at least 50% of our students in reading and 40% in Math meeting or exceeding national norms on NWEA/MAP. We believe that together, as a community, we can empower our young learners to reach new heights academically and personally. As we begin this journey, we would like to remind parents of our Core Values: G.E.T.S. – Growth Mindset, Expectations (High), Trust, and Support. These values form the foundation of our school culture, and we encourage you to reinforce them at home as well.
As we gear up for another incredible school year, we are filled with excitement and anticipation. We can't wait to see our students' smiling faces and witness their growth throughout the year. Lincoln Elementary School
One of seven schools in Bellwood School District 88, Lincoln Elementary School is rich in parental support and community involvement. The faculty and staff at Lincoln Elementary are dedicated and talented professionals who demonstrate love and passion through their daily interactions with children. Lincoln Elementary provides academic experiences that are engaging, rigorous, differentiated, and prepared for colleges and careers. Scholars from Kindergarten through fifth grade at Lincoln Elementary are encouraged to participate in their own learning experiences actively.
We desire to motivate all of the learners at Lincoln Elementary, adults and children, to become citizens who are ready to positively contribute to the school community and make a difference in the world. We have supports that include community partners, which we affectionately call our nation because it takes a nation to cultivate the world changers we aspire to develop. Lincoln Elementary’s nation includes our PTO, Westtowns Links, Inc. World Deliverance Christian Center, Softchoice Cares, and Beauty for Ashes. We also know that our lifeline is the love and support of all families who make up our proud Lion Family.
